R.U.L.E.S  F.O.R  R.E.G.U.L.A.R  R.O.U.N.D


1. Submitted videos must be about Roswell, Alias, One Tree Hill, Veronica Mars, Buffy: The Vampire Slayer or Angel only. Crossovers between those shows are allowed.

 

2. You can only submit your own videos, not the work of others.

 

3. No clip theft is tolerated. If we find out, that your video or clips in it are stolen, you will be disqualified for that and all future rounds on this site. We will also make the reasons for your disqualification public.

 

4. Videos must be online the whole round. After all if we can't download, we are not able to judge it. If the links change throughout the round let us know.

 

5. From no on, we accept no longer videos hosted on Rapidshare or Megaupload. It's just too much trouble to wait in between, before the next video can be downloaded. Please use other hosting sites like 'You Send It' etc. Videos on services like YouTube or Putfile can't be accepted as well, since we have to be able to save all the videos.

 

6. Each round you can submit 2 videos. Decide which category fits in your opinion best. For each video you can choose up to 3 categories. Only one video per category. We reserve us the right to move your videos in other categories, in case we think, that they fit better there.

 

7. Each video can only be submitted once. Only if massive changes were made to it, you're allowed to submit it again. (Submissions which were made for the Theme don't count, which means if you submitted previously a video in the Theme Round, you can submit it in the Regular Round again and vice versa)
    In case a category can't be judged because of lack of submissions, the video(s) will be carried over in three more Rounds. That means the video will go through 4 Rounds altogether. If the category still couldn't be judged then, the video will be dropped.

 

8. Videos shouldn't be bigger than 40 MB max.

 

9. Acceptable Formats : Real Player (.rm or .ram), Windows Media (.wmv), Quick Time (.mov), .mpeg, .mpg or .avi and .DVIX. Zipped files are certainly allowed.
 

10. You must have a link up to Careless Whisper Awards somewhere on your page. No link means no consideration of your videos. That makes sure, that you really entered your own work. And you can be sure, we will check for one.

That means you need to have a site in order for your submission to be accepted. Doesn't have to be something fancy, it just has to contain the link to us and the link to your video. If you want, a description of your video as well, but it doesn't have to be. Building a page on Angelfire for example doesn't take more than 10 min, therefore we don't think it's too much to ask for. (Example)

 

11. Before or after you've written your summary of your video you have to add the words "Always & Forever" to show that you read the Rules. No passwort, no consideration of your video.

 

12. Your e-mail address must be valid. If there's something concerning your submission we need to be able to contact you after all.

 

13. Since we're over 18, explicit lyrics are accepted, as long as they're not insulting or degrading, which means, common swear words are ok.

 

14. Please no Slash or porn. Slash also includes Willow&Tara videos. We know they're CC, but still. Sorry.

 

15. Our decision is final, so don't complain if you don't win.
